We know there is more to life than just our physical bodies and this material world. When we have tasted all the pleasures that this world can offer us and realised that they do not provide true and lasting satisfaction, we may go looking further afield for satisfaction of our longings and desires and for many of us, this took us into the spiritual new age.
The spiritual new age offered temporary relief from the tensions of the world; blissed out states of being, feelings of being connected with something grander than our physical bodies and this earthly plane of life, and an introduction to the world of energy.
But it did not tell us that there were two types of energy: prana and fire.
Prana is the basic energy of life, which is used to excess for stimulation by the spirit, that part of us that separated from the one Soul to create its own individual existence. Fire is the energy that truly sustains us, the energy of the Soul, of oneness, of God.
The spiritual new age uses the energy of prana to delight the spirit, in a way that makes us think that it is all there is, and this can keep us diverted and delayed, in separation to our Soul for many years or even lifetimes. It has us seeking outside of ourselves for solutions, when the true answers are found within.
"And yet we follow these pranic paths simply because they pander to our comfort, they feed the pride and most of all – they help identify the identity seeking spirit"
Serge Benhayon The Way of Initiation, ed 1, p 165
It was only when we were presented with the teachings of Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine that we came to realise that there was so much more; that connection to the energy of the Soul, to the fire within us, and living in connection with that energy, offers a richness, a magnificence and a deep and lasting settlement that is grand and beautiful beyond words.
These stories offer us a way back, from the spiritual new age to the Soul, our true home.
