Cannellini bean hummus
A simple homemade dip that everyone will love – including the kids! This delicious cannellini bean hummus recipe is perfect as a side dish with salad, vegetables or meat, or served as a snack or appetiser for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 tin chickpeas (drained)
- 1 tin cannellini beans (drained)
- ¾ cup tahini (hulled)
- ¾ cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ lemon (juiced)
- ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ teaspoon ground coriander
Method
- Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
Inspiration
- Add fresh herbs (e.g. parsley or coriander)
- Use only chickpeas for a classic hummus
- Use butter beans in place of cannellini beans for a slightly different flavour
Serving suggestions
Serve with fresh vegetable sticks (e.g.cucumber, carrots), corn chips, or as an accompaniment to any meat, fish or try with vegetable dish
