Sea vegetable fritters
Delicious gluten free savoury fritters perfect for breakfast, lunch or a healthy snack idea for during the day.
Ingredients
- 5g Sea Vegetable Garden Salad soaked and drained OR 5g Arame soaked, drained and minced (sea vegetables are available from health food stores and asian grocers)
- 2 free-range eggs, whisked
- ½ onion, finely diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon cracked black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Method
- Heat oil in a frypan over a medium to low heat and add onion, garlic, chilli and black peppercorns
- Gently sauté until golden
- In a bowl, combine the eggs, drained sea vegetable mix and add sautéed onion
- Using a serving spoon, spoon egg mix into the pan to make fritters and cook for 2-3 minutes
- Turn the fritters over and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes
To Serve
Serve with slices of avocado or salmon slices, add some Dairy free basil pesto. Delicious with Summer salad as a side.
Inspiration
Add any herbs and or spices that you may like for that something extra.
Swap out the onion for one or two spring onions (shallots).
