Dairy free lemon tahini dressing
Dairy free lemon tahini dressing
A delicious creamy dressing made with tahini (sesame seed paste) and lemon. This dairy free tahini dressing is a fantastic accompaniment to any salads, roasted vegetables or served as a dip. What is great about it is that it can be adjusted to suit anyone’s taste. Why not give it a go and experiment away?
Ingredients
- ½ cup hulled tahini (can use either hulled or unhulled, hulled is smoother)
- ½ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon curry powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
Method
- Place all ingredients together in a food processor or blender and blend until well combined.
- Serve alongside your favourite salad or protein.
- Keep for up to 1 week in the fridge in an air tight container.
Inspiration
- This dressing can be made to personal preference when it comes to thickness: to make it thinner add more lemon juice, olive oil or water (if you don’t like it too tangy); for a thicker dressing add more tahini.
- Try adding other spices like turmeric for variety or combine with avocado for a rich creamier dressing.
