Quality of movement = Quality of life

The quality of our movements determine the quality of our life.

Quality of movement = Quality of life

Though it may appear at times that we are motionless, when we are still or asleep for example, there is in fact a constant flow of energetic movement in and around us 24/7. Even in the tiniest of particles within our bodies there is a vibrational movement occurring.

Our every expression is therefore a movement; not only our more obvious physical movements – our thoughts, emotions and behaviours are also movements.

There is a constant flow of energy in and through our bodies, and we can often feel when this movement is harmonious or not. If we are rushing for example, or have had a few cups of coffee, the movement of energy can feel racy or uncomfortable. Or when we are consciously present with our body, moving in a gentle way, there is a supportive rhythm and flow that leads us to our next evolving movement.

What exactly is movement?

Presenting what true movement is and our relationship with it.

The quality of the movement we choose is what we then magnify in our bodies as we ‘move’, and this is the energy that is circulating through us. We are in constant expression and relationship with all that surrounds us through the way we move.

Through simple and gentle movements in an Esoteric Yoga class, we have an opportunity to feel and bring awareness to the quality of energy flowing through our body.

We learn from the body that when we choose to bring focus to the quality of our movements, we naturally influence the quality of the movement of our life.

"Esoteric Yoga develops the quality that becomes the movement that you will magnify through-out your body."

Serge Benhayon Esoteric Teachings and Revelations Volume I, ed 1, p 261

Bringing a consistent level of love and care to the way we are with ourselves naturally affects the refinement of our movements. We build a quality of being that we bring toward us with every movement we make – so our future is determined by the choices or movements that we are making today.

When we wish to make changes in our life where habitual movements may have us held in a certain way of being or pattern, it is through re-connecting with our body and choosing the quality we move in that supports us to shift these patterns and expand our expression in every way. The phrase, ‘a change is as good as a holiday’ alludes to this, where we break the cycle or pattern of behaviour that is familiar. With a change of movement the framework is altered and new opportunities become available to us with the change in constellation.

By simply bringing attention to the quality we are moving in, the flow of energy through the body becomes more harmonious .

We can introduce such a flow to the body in simple ways, for example:

  • gently opening and closing a door and feeling the movement through the body

  • walking – feeling our footsteps, the pressure, the stride, the rhythm

  • picking up an item in gentleness

  • preparing, cooking and eating a meal with conscious presence

Bringing awareness to the quality of our movement can truly reform the quality of our life, step by step, moment by moment. Not only does it affect our own life, it equally blesses all others and the earth we walk upon. Bringing care to our movements has a harmonious ripple effect through all of life.

"Your next gesture changes the constellation of the whole universe. If mankind knew how true this is, more, if not all of us would be far more energetically responsible and astute as to how we express and move in every way."

Serge Benhayon Esoteric Teachings and Revelations Volume I, ed 1, p 392
