Banana, chia seed and nut smoothie
A sweet and creamy nourishing smoothie that will light up any breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1 tablespoon nut butter
- 2 dates, seedless and cut into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optionally pre-soaked)
- ½ avocado
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup ice
Method
- Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until the desired consistency is reached.
- Pour into a glass and add a smoothie straw, ready to be enjoyed.
Inspirations and top tips
- Try this as a dessert … leave the ice out, blend and place in ramekin dishes to set for 20 minutes before serving with some cookies
- Have fun experimenting with this recipe. For example, add a handful of spinach leaves for extra nourishment and a flash of colour or a squeeze of lemon or lime for a little lift …
- You can use frozen avocado or bananas for this recipe
